"Run for Ramos", Fun Run on May 2 to benefit ARDS research

Many of you knew Thom Ramos since he was a long time member of the BSSC and SOBO.  Sadly, a year ago on May 2, Thom passed away at the young age of 32 from ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome).  Thom was a healthy, active guy who was taken suddenly from his family and friends by ARDS.  A fun run has been organized to not only remember a great person & friend, but to raise money for ARDS research so that hopefully no other families have to lose a loved one to this condition.

The fun run will not require any training as it is a short run around Cross Street Market.  The run is an opportunity to show a sign of friendship, solidarity and draw awareness to ARDS, as well as raise money for researching a cure. The run will start at Grumpies between 3- 3:30 pm, but we hope everyone can join us between 2-6 pm at Grumpies to celebrate the life of Thom, a great guy & wonderful friend.

We are asking for a $20 donation that will go to the Johns Hopkins University Hospital - ARDS Research Fund. You will receive a golf shirt (collared, as that was Thom's favorite -- collars up!) and free beer and food (generously donated for the cause).  There will also be raffles for many great prizes throughout the day, tickets will be sold at the event, and all proceeds will go to the ARDS Research Fund.
